Why You’ll Love this Recipe
- Perfect summer cocktail to enjoy by the pool!
- Peaches work perfectly with the wine and brandy
- Can make this with frozen peaches all year long when fresh peaches aren't in season.
- Super easy to make in a blender.
What is a Frosé?
Let's start with the basics. A frosé is basically a frozen rosé wine cocktail, or wine slushie! Think adult slushie, with a bit more booze. Similar to a sangria, but blended for the perfect frozen refresher. You can add just about anything to the base of an entire bottle of rosé wine to flavor it the way you like.
Ingredients
Here is what you need to make this peach frosé recipe:
- Peaches: Fresh ripe peaches that are in season are best and they make this drink special, or use frozen peaches from the grocery store if you can't get fresh peach slices.
- Elderflower Liqueur: There are a few brands that make this but we use the classic St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur.
- Brandy: This is a depth of flavor ingredient that adds complexity to the frosé.
- Lemon: Fresh lemon juice brings everything together with some acidity.
- Honey: This drink needs just a touch of sweetness, and a little honey works the best.
- Rosé Wine: This is the base for the drink. Use your favorite! We like Italian or French rosé, but California rosé wine will be great in this recipe as well.
- Ice: Only necessary if your frosé needs to be thicker (usually you won’t need it), or if your peaches aren't frozen.
- Mint: A great garnish for this drink!
See recipe card below for quantities.
Substitutions
Here are a couple of common substitutions for the ingredients in this recipe:
- Peaches: Many fruits will work in place of peaches - plums, apricots, and nectarines are three that work beautifully in this recipe.
- Honey: Simple syrup or agave nectar can be used in place of honey if desired.
How to Make Peach Elderflower Frosé
This frose recipe is super easy to make. The only thing to do ahead of time is peel and slice the fresh peaches so they can go in the freezer overnight. Then everything is combined in a blender and you’re done! Happy drinking!

Step-by-Step Instructions
Prepare the Peaches
- If using frozen peaches, skip this step. If using fresh peaches, peel and slice peaches. Place in a sealed bag or container and freeze overnight.
Chill the Ingredients
- The day you plan to make these, mix the elderflower liqueur, brandy, lemon juice and honey together. Place in the freezer to chill for 30 minutes. Make sure the rosé is also refrigerated.
Make the Frosé
- Add all ingredients, including the chilled rosé mixture, to a blender and blend until desired consistency. Add ice cubes for a thicker consistency if it is too runny. Pour into a glass and garnish with fresh mint and peaches. Enjoy!
Variations
Here are a couple ways to change up this recipe:
- Use different fruit: Peaches are one of our summertime favorites for this recipe, but you can use different fruit in this frosé recipe. Especially if you aren't in the height of peach season, you could use a variety of berries and other fruit to make this amazing frosé. Additionally, you can mix fruit to make whatever flavor you want. The key is that the fruit needs to be frozen before using it so that you get that nice slushy consistency.
- Wine: You don’t have to use rosé wine (it just won’t be a frosé). Any dry white or red wine can be used instead…we just love rosé for this.
Storage
How to store Frosé:
- Store the pitcher of Frosé in the freezer if you aren't serving it all at once. If it needs to be held for a long period of time, simply freeze it in a container and it can be popped out into a blender when ready to enjoy.
Can you make Frosé in advance and freeze?
- You can, it will need to be blended again and the consistency may have to be adjusted with extra ice.s on Instagram @cooking_with_wine!
Top Tip
If using fresh in-season peaches, don’t skip on the freezing of the peaches. The frozen fruit allows the drink to become a slushy consistency without having to dilute it with ice. Alternatively, you can buy frozen peaches year-round!
Troubleshooting
The only issue you could have is that the frosé is too runny or too thick.
- Too runny? If too runny, add a little ice while blending until it thickens up.
- Too thick? If it is too thick, you can let it melt a bit (5 minutes or so depending on how hot it is) or add a bit more rosé.
What appetizers to serve with Frosé
This is wide open! You can serve just about anything with this drink! We love to enjoy this with a variety of summer finger foods such as Marinated Artichoke Hearts Crostini or Easy Shrimp Cocktail with Homemade Horseradish Cocktail Sauce.
What Rosé Wines Are Best to Make Frosé
Any dry rosé wine will work. We love Italian, French, and California wines for this recipe. Use your favorite rosé.

You can…just find a non-alcoholic rosé wine and omit the brandy and St.-Germain.
Usually no and this recipe doesn’t use it either.
Yes! Give it a try!

When do you add the rosé? Do you add to the mixture you freeze for 30 minutes, after the fact, it do you freeze it overnight like a traditional frosé?
Angela and Mark says
Hi there! You add the rosè to the blender with all the rest of the ingredients that were in the freezer. To enjoy right away, you may need to add extra ice for a thicker consistency. You can then place the mixture back in the freezer to enjoy later.
Nancy says
What kind of rose did you use?
Angela and Mark says
Hi Nancy! Any still rosé wine will work well in this recipe so use your favorite. We like dry French or Italian rosé best but there are some good ones from California that would work well too. Nothing too pricey since you have other prominent ingredients in this recipe. Enjoy!
