We love waffles, pancakes, and French toast. Sometimes it’s hard to decide which one is the best. We have decided that it’s all about the mood we’re in and they can all be great. However, we are maybe vaulting this waffle into the current lead! We love Nutella and Biscoff cookies so much that they deserve to be used together in this amazing recipe for Biscoff Cinnamon Waffles with Nutella Cream.

    What's in this waffle recipe?

There is an admission here – it was a Sunday morning and we had done a lot of cooking with wine the night before, so I wasn’t really in the mood to make breakfast. But I was craving waffles for some reason and just started tinkering. Angela mentioned mascarpone and Nutella and we were off to the races! Indulgence on the way! The Biscoff cookies in the waffles themselves along with a little cinnamon and that’s no ordinary waffle, that's a winner!

Now, we highly recommend that you invest in a waffle maker... since that is the only way to actually make waffles. We have THIS ONE and absolutely love it.

But as good as the waffles are, the Nutella Cream is insanely delicious. The mascarpone adds a unique flavor and texture, and the nutmeg transforms the overall taste to something special.

Honestly, the Nutella Cream would be great over any plain waffle, or pancakes, or French toast, so hang onto this recipe whenever you need to add something sweet to your breakfast.

This is actually quite an easy recipe to whip up and is a great way to start a weekend day if you are in the sweet-breakfast mood!

    Enjoy!

    Instructions

    Prepare the Cream

    • To a saucepan, add all the ingredients for the cream sauce and warm over medium-low heat, stirring often, until the sauce comes together. It can be warmed back up when ready to use. Adjust the consistency with the heavy cream or more Nutella as desired.

    Prepare the Waffles

    • Get your waffle iron heated up. In one bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well to combine. In another bowl whisk the egg and milk until thoroughly combined. Pour the milk and egg mixture into the dry ingredients and carefully whisk them until incorporated. Stir in the crushed cookies and the melted butter.
    • Lightly spray your waffle iron with cooking spray and add as much batter as is necessary for your waffle iron to make each waffle.
    • Serve with the Nutella Cream and, if desired, any of the additional garnishes.
